Biography:
Was born in Turkey in 1974.
He began photography in 1995. Studied Journalism and Cinema in the Marmara University Communication Faculty. Worked in MIHA (Marmara University Communication Faculty News Agency) as a photojournalist. Started to take his first personal project which is entitled “Children in Darkness” at the same time in university and followed this project nearly seven years. Particapated for World Press Photo three years seminars in Turkey. Studied in Nordens Fotoskola in Sweden with the scholarship from Swedish Institute. Teached in Galatasaray University about photojournalism and documantary photography. He was invited for Leica Exhibition for the 50th Anniversary of LEICA M series with selected twenty photographer from the world. Worked as a freelance photographer for domestic and foreign newspapers, magazines and agencies. hi
He is one of the founders of photo_araf. He works for his personal projects and
photo-roportages in photo_araf. Lives and works in Istanbul.
